Call for applications: Honours Class 2016 ‘Global Problem Solving and Intergenerational Dialogue’

Vesalius College is thrilled to announce this year’s honours class, which will be launched in cooperation with the Global Economic Symposium (GES).  This inter-disciplinary honours class consists of 10 highly motivated and talented students from VeCo’s four departments (Business, Communications, International Affairs, and International & European Law).

The successful candidates will follow an in-depth, interactive and highly challenging class with the Head of the GES Team in order to prepare a policy-oriented proposal on how to solve core global challenges.  The group with the best proposal will be given a chance to travel to the next Global Economic Symposium (25-27 October in istanbul, Turkey) in order to present their ideas in front of leading policy-makers and business leaders.  All expenses will be paid by the College.

Students should be ideally in their 2nd year of studies and must be available for the GES in October 2016.

The class is an additional, non-credit Honours Class, which will convene in physical meetings 2-3 times in the Spring Semester and during the Summer. Students sill follow this class in addition to their normal course work-load. Throughout the semester, additional consultations with the course instructor will take place via Skype.
