Vesalius College was my dream college, I had just never heard of it while living in the States. Perhaps fate led me to this school, but I couldn’t have wished for a better undergraduate experience. I made friends from all over the world, my professors were challenging, helpful and inspiring, and I graduated with excitement for the future that was ahead of me. Vesalius prepared me to face both academic and professional setting and challenges through schoolwork and the opportunities that come with attending a small school. There’s a network to support students, past and present.
After graduation, I continued my education with a MSc in Migration, Mobility, and Development at the School of Oriental and African Studies, University of London. I have been praised for my strong writing, class participation, and presentation skills–many of which I honed while at Vesalius.
Having come back to visit since graduation, I am reminded of what a special place Vesalius is and how it will always feel like my ‘base’. There was even one professor who teased, “Welcome home!” when I was first seen in the building. What more could one ask for?
