On Thursday, April 28th, the Capstone Class of 2016, International Affairs, was honored to present their final product to their clients, Head of the United Nations Liaison Office for Peace and Security (UNLOPS), Rory Keane, and Carlo Schmid Fellow, Annika Koehnert. The final presentation tied together three months of hard work, which allowed students the opportunity to work on a “rea-life” task and give practical policy oriented advice to a high-level client.
Each of the two think tanks (Center for Peace and Cooperation and Institute for Peace Partnership), which were formed within the class in February, gave a 15 minute presentation highlighting their main recommendations for strengthening the partnership between the EU and UN in the field of peacekeeping. After a brief Q&A session, the class received invaluable and honest feedback on their work and were applauded by their clients for the high quality of their end product. The enthusiastic comments were an incredible reward for the months of stress and labor that had resulted in a report and presentation the entire class can be tremendously proud of.
