<What is this lecture about?>
In the actual diverse workplace, workplace discrimination and harassment cannot only lead to disadvantages in public procurement contracts and liability for the organization and/or individual employees, it may also affect employees well-being and productivity. Over the past years, employers have developed new strategies in order to comply with the equal treatment legislation and avoid non-discrimination claims. In this guest lecture, a member of the Interfederal Centre for Equal Opportunities will highlight some good practices which can help dealing with discrimination issues. An anti-discrimination training for the HR-employees and management is a necessity. In addition, companies can make use of:
- standardized application forms, diverse selection committees and internal objectification,
- nondiscrimination clauses in the work rules and in contract terms and conditions,
- quality scenarios, FAQ and internal nondiscrimination complaint procedures,
- mystery shopping, notification duties and other monitoring instruments.
Knowledge of the nondiscrimination legal framework is not required. The speaker will present tools that may be useful in your daily work life situation.
