Graduation: Class of 2017

On Saturday, June 3, Vesalius College celebrated its 27th Annual Graduation for the Class of 2017. Students and their families gathered together with VeCo’s professors and staff to honour this important milestone in students’ lives.

Many thanks to this year’s commencement speaker, Mr. Sven Gatz, Flemish Minister for Culture, Media, Youth, and Brussels Affairs for his inspirational speech, and to Ambassador Kenneth S. Yalowitz for his warm video message, motivating the young generation.

Congratulations to this year’s valedictorian, Linda Slapakova (International Affairs), who is also a recipient of the Andrée Bingen Senior Scholarship and the Franz Bingen Honours Essay Prize. Congratulations also to Nadja Eckert (International Affairs), another recipient of the Andrée Bingen Senior Scholarship.

The graduation ceremony featured the music performance of De Falla Quintet from the Lemmens Institute (Leuven) and was followed by a reception with around 300 guests.

Congratulations Class of 2017!
