Independent Housing
If you opt for independent housing, please note that housing cannot be arranged before your arrival in Belgium. As such, if possible, we recommend that you arrive in Brussels one week before orientation; as the earlier you arrive in Brussels, the easier it will be to find accommodation. Prices for independent student accommodation can vary from 350 to 600€ per month, depending on size and level of comfort. Charges, such as phone, utilities, internet, etc. are not always fully included and may result in additional monthly fees.

When you arrive in Brussels, you may find off-campus housing by reading the VLAN (weekly newspaper) or by consulting their web site www.vlan.be. You may also consult the ExPats’ web site www.xPATs.com or Immoweb. You may consult Vesalius College’s bulletin boards that are located at Triomflaan 32 and Schoofslaan 8. You may also look out for ‘orange’ signs (kot, chambre, kamer TE HUUR/A LOUER) that are posted on buildings or on houses.
You may also rent a room near campus at the following address: ‘Brussels International Students’ Centre’, located at Bischoffsheimlaan 38a, 1000 Brussels. Here, you can find fully equipped double and single rooms (including furniture, refrigerator, bathroom with shower and toilet). Wireless internet and laundry services are also available. The building houses five fully equipped TV lounges. For more information, please contact Ms. Sandra Pecquet at specquet@qlb.irisnet.be.
