Google no further than VECO!
Seven marketing student teams in Dr. Fairchild’s Marketing course have spent the Spring term competing in the 2nd annual Google Online Marketing Challenge. Vesalius College was one of only two institutions competing in Belgium.
These student teams received US$200 of free online advertising with Google AdWords and then worked with several Vesalius Internship Programme (VIP) partners to devise effective online marketing campaigns for these small businesses. Teams outlined a strategy, ran a campaign, assessed their results and provided the business with recommendations to further develop their online marketing. Teams submitted their reports and are being judged by a panel of independent academics from all over the world, with the results due out in July.
There was an internal Vesalius College competition, and the winners were announced on the last day of class. Pictured are Dr. Alea Fairchild (Marketing professor), Julien Blanchez (Country Marketing Manager, Google Belgium) and the winning team of Vesalius students Stefanie Geldof, Aline Huynh and study abroad student Yu-Tien Pan (University of Wisconsin – Madison) who together worked on the AdWords account of Vesalius Internship Programme partner the British School of Brussels.
