Professor Billingsley has recently been published in the International Journal of Business Management and Leadership. The article The Leadership-Follower Relationship: Correlation of Free Will evaluates the leader and follower relationship as it relates to the construct of free-will.
The research evaluates the connection between followers and leaders to gauge the amount of free will that exist when following a leader, either by choice or by authority. The article evaluates five types of leaders: Peaceful, Organization, Business, Political, and Military and evaluates the follows ability to have free will in the relationship. The research concludes that followers feel they have less free will when it comes to political and military leaders versus peaceful and organizational leaders. The research is significant in our current world’s political and military environment.
