Research Interests:

  • International Law in general, with special emphasis on the Law of the Sea.
  • Recent focus has been on marine pollution, law of fisheries, delimitation of maritime boundaries between states, marine scientific research, state practice of Belgium and/or the Flemish Government and the Baltic Sea region.
  • More generally, research also relates to the areas of Diplomatic and Consular Law and Central and East-European Legal Systems.
