Dr. Alex Wilson, Associate Research Fellow in the Department of International Affairs, recently organised an academic workshop at the Johns Hopkins University in Bologna.
The workshop involved presentations and discussions on the book chapters for a prestigious series on Italian Politics, which has been running for over 30 years and whose past editors include many of the leading scholars of the subject in Europe and North America.
Dr. Wilson was chosen to co-edit the 2017 volume alongside Prof. Alessandro Chiaramonte (University of Florence). This will cover some of the most pressing themes in Italian politics today: constitutional reform, elections and party politics, foreign policy in North Africa, relations with the European Union, the immigration crisis and same-sex civil partnerships. The book will be published in two language versions, The English version is published by Berghahn Books (Oxford), the Italian version is published by Il Mulino (Bologna).
