Vesalius Internship Programme - Students

The VIP allows students to experience an international and professional environment in the “Capital of Europe.” Internships are available at governmental organizations, multi-national corporations, NGOs, and many other types of business.

Through the VIP, students learn invaluable skills, build their CV, network with influential business people, and have the opportunity to pursue a career path.

Internships count as an academic course, and students receive 6 ECTS (equivalent to 3 US academic credits) upon successful completion. A few double internships worth 6 US credits are available to highly-motivated study-abroad students only.

While rewarding, the VIP is also demanding. Students are required to work a minimum of 150 hours, maintain a log-book of hours worked, and write a 3,000 word paper about their internship experience. At the conclusion of the internship, the student will receive a letter-grade.

Internships are highly-prized and competitive, so there is no guarantee that every applying student will be chosen for an internship.

"The Vesalius Internship Programme provides great value for FEDMA. It enables us to do small projects which are valuable to our membership and would not have been possible to conduct without the VIP. The VIP management is effective, very well organised and highly professional.

We have been very impressed by the quality of the students. Most of them do not have any real professional experience, still it takes them less than weeks, maybe days, to adapt to a highly professional environment with tight deadlines and great responsibilities. In fact we have employed our PR and Communications Manager based on her great performance during the VIP programme."
