Vesalius Internship Programme - Students

Overview

As you look to life after graduation, getting a head start on the competition is vital. With Brussels as the world's top diplomatic city, top business centre and host to the world's largest press corps, you can gain unique and valuable work experience by taking an internship at one of the many partner organisations associated with the Vesalius Internship Programme (VIP).

The internship will count as an academic course during the semester, and can be taken as a Major Elective (note: it is a requirement for all Vesalius College Degree-Seeking Communications students) giving you 6 ECTS (3 US academic credits) as well as a strong entry on your personal CV.

The VIP is a highly prestigious programme whereby students can to perform real work at the international level while studying in Brussels. Students who are highly committed to acquiring a first-hand experience by working in a multi-national setting in the heart of Europe are encouraged to apply.

Participating in the VIP is an extremely rewarding experience. However, it is also a very demanding one. We expect VIP interns to make the internship one of their highest priorities while studying at Vesalius College. Due to the time-consuming nature of this internship, we would like you to consider your priorities before you decide to apply to the VIP.

"The Vesalius Internship Programme provides great value for FEDMA. It enables us to do small projects which are valuable to our membership and would not have been possible to conduct without the VIP. The VIP management is effective, very well organised and highly professional.

We have been very impressed by the quality of the students. Most of them do not have any real professional experience, still it takes them less than weeks, maybe days, to adapt to a highly professional environment with tight deadlines and great responsibilities. In fact we have employed our PR and Communications Manager based on her great performance during the VIP programme."
