Summer in Brussels

Brussels is a very vibrant and cosmopolitan city offering students a unique international experience for summer study. From its many outdoor cafés, festivals and concerts to its excellent cuisine and museums to its active nightlife, students quickly find Brussels to be a very friendly city with something to offer every taste. And with numerous spacious parks and a forest at the doorstep of Brussels, students also have many opportunities for biking, running, a scenic stroll or simply relaxing.

And with Brussels home to the European Union, NATO, hundreds of media outlets, international businesses and NGOs, students have an excellent opportunity to take a summer internship to gain valuable work experience.

Beyond Brussels

Going to school in Brussels affords students the unique opportunity for easy getaways to explore Europe and its many countries and cultures. Belgium’s inter-city trains provide quick access to the coast towns of Flanders, medieval Bruges, Antwerp (“The diamond capital of the world”), the Belgian countryside and the wooded hills of the Ardennes.

Looking beyond Belgium, Brussels is the ideal centre from which to explore the rest of Europe. Paris is a short 90 minutes by fast train and London, Cologne and Amsterdam are just over two hours away. In addition, most major European cities are two hours or less by plane making all of Europe, from Scandinavia to Eastern Europe to the Mediterranean, easily accessible for exploration.
