Bachelor of International Affairs

Studying International Affairs at Vesalius College gives students a unique competitive edge as they begin new careers or apply to graduate school. With excellent internships available from the European Union, NATO and hundreds of NGOs, research firms and international organisations, students can further their individual career path, learn from experienced practitioners and develop their own contacts and professional network that will be invaluable as they move through a post-graduate or professional career.

The academic bachelor programme offers students flexibility in course selection, including the option to select a Concentration to specialize in a specific area. In the programme, students learn the basic theoretical framework from which to interpret and understand the complex dynamics of modern international political, social and economic interaction. To develop the theoretical understanding and practical skills, students are exposed to a broad range of subjects as part of the curriculum including history, sociology, political science, foreign language, economics and political economy.

Upon graduation, graduates are well prepared to start careers in diplomacy, journalism, law, business, public administration, policy analysis, political research and consulting. They are also prepared for study at the graduate level in international relations, economics, politics, history, peace and security studies and globalisation studies.
