Core Curriculum

A distinctive feature of the Bachelor’s degree at Vesalius College is the Core Curriculum. Required of all students and spread over three years as students progress in their specific majors, this portion of the curriculum is designed to empower individuals, free the mind from ignorance and cultivate social responsibility.

The Core Curriculum focuses on diverse fields of knowledge from the humanities, social sciences and natural sciences and their complex interaction. Exposure to this broad scope of subjects helps students develop the flexibility to adapt to change, to lead others and, crucially, to communicate effectively with diverse groups of people across many cultures and languages.

The Core Curriculum also helps foster the skills, knowledge and attitudes that will enable Vesalius graduates to adapt and flourish in an increasingly multicultural and ever-changing world.

Central to a liberal education, the Core Curriculum lays the foundation for a successful and fulfilling professional and personal life in the 21st century.
